About

As a child, my goal was to read every book in my school library. The persistence that once led me through every book now fuels a sharp eye for detail, a sensitivity to nuance, and the resolve to turn ideas into reality. Through it all, I carry the same joy, always eager to create the next story.

Museum San

Nature
Space
Meditation

Museum SAN is an art museum located in Wonju, Gangwon Province, South Korea. Designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the building harmonizes seamlessly with its surrounding landscape. The museum emphasizes the interaction between nature, humans, and art, upholding values such as rest and meditation. For the rebranding, I focused on the passage of time in nature and employed pattern and color as the primary visual components to articulate the museum’s core values with clarity and coherence.

Logo

I sought to convey the organic curves of nature and the passage of time through the logo. This modular type logo was inspired by the museum’s architectural forms that interact with the surrounding landscape, and the gradually revealing letterforms reflect the subtle changes captured within that interaction.

Patterns & Colors

Patterns were inspired by the shapes of shadows, the way light enters and spreads, and the gentle curves expressed in the buildings themselves.

The color palette was derived from the shifting hues of the sky throughout the day. By using slightly more saturated tones, I aimed to create an inviting atmosphere that would resonate with a broad audience of all ages, including families.

Meditation Program Posters

The museum offers a meditation program held inside Tadao Ando’s domed building. A long horizontal skylight runs across the ceiling, allowing light to shift throughout the day, moving like a sundial. This poster series pays homage to that experience by using patterns and the changing colors of the sky from morning to night.

Turrell

Light and Space
Gradient
Generative coding
Turrell was designed to represent James Turrell’s permanent exhibition within Museum San. I used the same grid system that I developed for Museum San’s modular type logo to maintain a sense of unity between the two. In this work, I focused on emphasizing the distinctive gradients that are characteristic of James Turrell’s light and space installations.

Sun Gradient Simulator

Creative CodingThe Sun Gradient Simulator is a creative coding project inspired by James Turrell’s light works, designed to let more people experience their atmosphere beyond physical locations. Based on real solar data from countries where Turrell’s exhibitions are held, the simulator visualizes gradient color shifts over a full day cycle.
